President Bush recently requested additional funds to support the effort in Iraq. The request of $87 Billion will pay for the effort through the middle of 2004.
Members of Congress have recently conducted hearings to determine if this $87 is warranted. Regardless of the outcome of the hearing, it appears that Congress will approve this additional funding.
